Woodland Park Shooting Ground is set in ancient woodland between the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons and provides the perfect environment for simulated sporting targets. Since opening in 1984, the ground has hosted international, national, regional and local clay shooting events and competitions.

In August 2008, with the valued assistance of the Welsh Field Archery Association, Woodland Park extended its facilities to include a 14-lane field archery course.

Woodland Park’s owner and proprietor, John Butland, is a qualified CPSA coach and has been actively involved in clay shooting for many years.  He has a wealth of experience, both in shooting, coaching and gun-fitting  to pass on to those who visit the ground.  John is also a registered firearms dealer.

DRIVING - Directions

Using a Sat Nav:  -3.35490 and 52.00139

Directions from the South - Abergavenny
Take the A40 north signed to Brecon.  As you near Brecon the road will become a dual-carriageway and then join a large roundabout (the Brecon By-Pass).  Turn right at the roundabout onto the A470, signed for Builth Wells.  After about a mile take the first left onto the B4602 signed to Brecon.  Follow the road passing Bishops Meadow caravan park and a garage on your right and then take the next right, signed to Llanddew.   Drive straight through Llandew and follow signs to Llaneglwys for another 2.5 miles when you will see a sign on a telephone pole on your right to Woodland Park, Funglas Farm .  Turn here and after a few hundred yards you will see the shooting ground situated in the wooded area to your right, the farm track will lead you to the car parking area and club house.

Directions from the North - Builth Wells
Head for the A470 travelling south to Brecon.  About 2 miles before you reach the turn-off for Brecon look out for the signs to the village of Felinfach and the Plough and Harrow pub - turn off here into the village of Felinfach.  Drive through the village and as soon as you pass the houses take the first turning to your right - look out for a grassy triangle at this turning.  Follow the road up for about a mile, passing a Baptist Chapel on your right on the way, until you reach a junction - turn left.  Follow the road for a short distance passing a white painted farm on your left and then turn right at the farm.  This road will take you all the way to the shooting ground which is clearly signed at the entrance - you will pass Funglas Farm on your way.
